Courses at UEL are split across seven teaching Schools:

Architecture, Computing and Engineering (ACE), Arts and Digital Industries* (ADI) and the Royal Docks Business School* (RDBS), all based at Docklands campus (please note that performing arts courses and MBAs are delivered at University Square Stratford).

The Cass School of Education and Communities, the School of Health, Sport and Bioscience and the School of Psychology, all based at Stratford campus.

The School of Law and Social Sciences, based at University Square Stratford (though social sciences courses are taught at Docklands).

As a member of your School, you’ll be able to access support from tutors, special events such as open lectures and guest speakers, course-related clubs and societies, social events and much more.

Accommodation
UEL is one of the few London universities to provide on-campus accommodation. We offer 1,200 rooms in halls, all in a fantastic waterside setting at our Docklands campus. Halls have shared kitchen and relaxation areas and outdoor social areas, and there’s a launderette too. So whether you want to cook up a special dinner or just enjoy the view along the dock, we’ve got room for you!

Sport
Our £21 million SportsDock centre at Docklands offers world-class facilities for a wide range of sports, from archery to Zumba. We also have over 25 sports clubs, including cricket, football, rowing, rugby and tennis. From international elite athletes to those who fancy trying something they’ve never played before, we’ve got something for everyone.

Shops
Docklands has a shop for all your essentials – from artists’ materials to breakfast cereal – and a few luxuries as well! You can get your textbooks at John Smith’s Bookshop (the Docklands branch was voted Bookshop of the Year 2013). Off campus, Westfield Stratford City – Europe’s largest urban shopping mall – is a short walk from Stratford campus and University Square Stratford, while Docklands is close to Gallion’s Reach retail park, with a 24/7 supermarket and large high-street stores.

Food and drink
There are plenty of places on campus to eat, drink or just relax over a coffee. At Docklands you’ll find Starbucks, Costa and the Baguette Co., as well as a large refectory, smaller snack bars and vending machines in various locations. Stratford also features a Starbucks and there are cafeterias for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Whether you’re after a hot dinner, a healthy salad or just a frappucino to go, we’ve got it all!

Entertainment
When you’ve finished your studies for the day, there’s plenty to do in and around campus. Unwind in the Underground Bar at Docklands, which offers a regular schedule of entertainment from music nights to quizzes, or enjoy The Dome social space at Stratford. Clubs and societies run regular events in the evenings at both campuses. There are theatres, cinemas, clubs bars and cafés aplenty on the doorstep in Stratford and Canary Wharf, and there’s the famous east London club scene.
